El cantante canadiense Justin Bieber interpretará a Michael Jackson en una próxima película que se prepara entre bambalinas en Hollywood, según informaciones filtradas que ya circulan profusamente en los medios periodísticos de Los Ángeles. El intérprete de “Baby” dará cara y expresión a un Michael Jackson adolescente, en un filme fundamentalmente centrado en los primeros treinta años de vida de quien ha sido considerado el rey del pop.
Aunque no trascendió el nombre de la película –aun no se ha decidido—, las locaciones ni cuándo comenzará a filmarse, desde ya se augura que el filme conmocionará la taquilla norteamericana y mundial.
Los padres de Justin Bieber habrían dado su aprobación “mientras la película no contenga escenas de sexo explícito o violencia extrema”, y el propio cantante estaría dispuesto a suspender sus giras y conciertos durante algunas semanas, presumiblemente a finales de este año.
“Si esto es algo más que un rumor va a estremecer los cimientos de la industria del cine y la música en Estados Unidos”, declaró a esta redacción el crítico y cinéfilo Antonio S. Rubio. “Bieber tiene mucho potencial, aunque no estoy seguro que sea la figura ideal para interpretar al primer Michael Jackson. De cualquier manera, es evidente que se trata de una apuesta comercial fundamentalmente dirigida a un público joven y muy entusiasta”
